About the FEBS Cutting-Edge Workshop on Immunometabolism
The FEBS Cutting-Edge Workshop on Immunometabolism brings together leading scientists and early-career researchers to explore the rapidly evolving interface between metabolism and immune function. From cellular mechanisms to systemic regulation, the workshop will highlight recent advances that are reshaping our understanding of how metabolic pathways influence immune responses in health and disease.
The event is designed primarily for late-stage PhD students and early postdoctoral researchers working in immunology and related disciplines. Through lectures by internationally recognised experts, interactive discussions and informal workshops, participants will gain insight into cutting-edge research while building meaningful connections within the scientific community.
Beyond the scientific programme, the workshop emphasises interaction and exchange. The format encourages dialogue between junior and senior scientists, creating opportunities for mentorship, collaboration and long-term networking.
Set on the Adriatic coast, the meeting combines high-level science with an environment designed to stimulate discussion and creativity. The goal is not only to share knowledge, but also to foster a vibrant and supportive network of researchers working at the frontier of immunometabolism.
About FEBS

Founded on 1st January 1964, The Federation of European Biochemical Societies (FEBS) encompasses thousands of members across more than 35 biochemistry and molecular biology societies (its 'Constituent Societies') in different countries of Europe and neighbouring regions. As a grass-roots organization FEBS thereby provides a voice to a large part of the academic research and teaching community in Europe and beyond.
As a charity, FEBS promotes and supports biochemistry, molecular biology, cell biology, molecular biophysics and related research areas through its journals, Congress, Advanced Courses, Fellowships and other initiatives. There is an emphasis in many programmes on scientific exchange and cooperation between scientists working in different countries, and on promotion of the training of early-career scientists.
